Terms of Service

1. The service

Akadem1k is an application for a state-observation practice: a journal, state check-ins, AI-based entry reviews, educational programmes and marathons. The service is provided by EQHekademia OÜ (registry code 17483439, E. Vilde tee 89-68, Tallinn, 12911, Estonia). Contact: office@eqhekademia.ee. By using the service you accept these terms.

2. Not medical care

Akadem1k is an educational self-observation tool. It is not medical, psychiatric or psychotherapeutic care, does not diagnose and does not replace working with a professional. If your condition requires help, contact a doctor or your country's emergency services.

The diary runs an automated acute-state protocol: if an entry or a question to the companion mentions thoughts of death or self-harm, the app shows contacts of free emotional support lines and emergency services instead of an analysis. This is a precaution, not monitoring: the service does not read your entries in real time, does not call for help on your behalf and cannot guarantee that it detects every such case. If there is immediate danger, call 112.

3. Account

• An account is required: sign in via Telegram, email or Google.
• Minimum age is 16.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of your data and for keeping access to your email and sign-in accounts secure.

4. Subscriptions and payment

• Akadem1k subscription: full access to the journal, reviews and the Pyramid.
• Akademik AI: a personal AI companion - 300 messages per 30 days, up to 50 per day.
• Individual programmes (marathon) are one-time purchases at the price shown on the programme page.
• The price of a plan is shown before payment - on the website, in the app, in Telegram and in the App Store; Apple's prices apply in the App Store.
• Payment is processed by Stripe on the website, via Telegram Stars inside Telegram, or by Apple (App Store) in the iOS app; iOS purchases are managed through RevenueCat. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
• Cancellation: Profile → "Subscription & payments" (Stripe portal), Telegram settings or, for App Store purchases, Apple ID settings - access remains until the end of the paid period.

By subscribing you agree to immediate access to digital content. Refund requests are handled by email to the address above in accordance with EU consumer rights.

5. App Store purchases

• Purchases are paid and subscriptions renewed through your Apple ID.
• Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings.
• Refunds follow Apple's rules.

6. Your content

Entries, observations and photos remain yours. You grant the service the right to process them solely to operate its features (storage, reviews, statistics) as described in the Privacy Policy. Export and deletion are available at any time in "Data & account".

7. Acceptable use

• Do not use the service to break the law, upload third-party personal data without a legal basis, or attempt to access other users’ entries.
• Do not interfere with the service: circumvent restrictions, scrape data, or overload the infrastructure.
• On violation we may suspend or close an account, giving prior notice where possible.

8. Intellectual property

Programme materials, texts, methodology and design belong to EQHekademia OÜ and are protected by copyright. Personal use within your learning is allowed; copying and distributing programme materials is not.

9. Liability

The service is provided "as is". We maintain it but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Liability is limited to the amount paid in the last 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited by law.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app or by email. Continued use after changes means acceptance. Governing law - the law of the Republic of Estonia.
