Akadem1k is available on the App Store and Google Play
Published
Akadem1k is an emotional intelligence app: a mood journal with an AI assistant. It is developed by EQHekademia OÜ in Tallinn, Estonia. The app builds a skill you need in every argument and under any amount of pressure: noticing your reaction, naming the feeling and choosing what to do. Akadem1k has been available on Google Play since September 2026 and on the App Store since 28 September. Beyond the stores, it also works in Telegram and in the browser.
Where to download it and which devices it runs on
- iPhone - App Store, since 28 September 2026.
- Android - Google Play, since September 2026.
- No installation needed - the @akademik_1bot bot in Telegram and the web version in your browser.
- The app interface is in Russian.
All the ways to open the app are gathered on one page: akadem1k.app/open.
How the app works
Until a feeling has a name, the mind does not recognise it, and there is nothing to manage. That is why what you have read about emotions lets you down in the middle of an argument: the reaction fires faster than you can recall the rule. Noticing and naming is a skill, and you build it through short repetitions every day.
A day in Akadem1k has three steps. A mood check-in on a scale of 1 to 10 takes half a minute. An entry - what happened, what you felt, where it showed up in your body, what you did - takes about two minutes, by voice or text. In return you get an analysis: why the reaction played out the way it did, one key question to ask yourself and one clear action for today.
Once a week you receive a summary across all your entries: what keeps repeating and what is hard to see from the inside. A realistic timeframe is one to two months of regular entries; the skill does not take shape in a week. Full details are on the How it works page.
What's inside
- Mood journal: record an entry by voice or text, and what you say is sorted into the right fields.
- Entry analysis: what triggered the reaction, which feeling came up and how your body responded.
- Weekly summary: the repetitions that add up to a habitual reaction.
- Mood scale: a 30-second check-in, a calendar and a chart.
- Pyramid: seven areas of life - career, health, money, love, growth, rest and spirit - and an analysis of the one that has dipped the most.
- Akademik AI: a conversation partner for your entries that sees your last 30 entries and mood check-ins.
Pricing

The Akadem1k subscription gives you unlimited entries, voice transcription, analysis of every entry and weekly summaries. The Akademik AI plan includes everything in the subscription plus the conversation partner for your entries. On the App Store, Apple's pricing applies. Full details are on the Pricing page.
Data and limits
- Audio is not stored: your speech is converted into text.
- The app has no ads and no tracking.
- Exporting your data or deleting your account takes a single step, in the app and on the website.
- Akadem1k is a self-observation tool: it does not diagnose and does not replace help from a professional. If an entry mentions thoughts of death or of harming yourself, the app shows helplines instead of an analysis.
Who made it
Akadem1k is developed in-house by EQHekademia OÜ, Tallinn, Estonia. The content is written by Andrii Ruban: 10+ years of hands-on work with emotional intelligence, groups of up to 65 people, 5 countries. The app is built on a knowledge base of the practical psychology of change and a glossary of 61 core concepts.
